What is Baby Stay Asleep?
Mompreneur, Beth Jackson-Gagne, explains her product in the following way:
I am a momprenuer who has invented a product for infants with reflux, colic, ear infections or respiratory concerns. It is a sleep positioner for the crib so that you can elevate the crib without the baby sliding down. I have a blog on my website and a Facebook page to support parents of infants with reflux and colic.
Our daughter (Mini Human #2) had colic for the first three months of her life. Talk about exhaustion. I had been tired while taking college courses but I had no idea just how tired a person can be…until Sammy came along. We ended up having her sleep in the carseat for about a month, attempting to “cure” the colic. That worked some evenings but other evenings…nope. We took her to a Chiropractor one a week and after a visit, she’d always sleep for a solid four hours (and poop, by the way). The problem was, the appointments were always in the afternoon so that still left us up all night long…
My mother said, “In the old days we called that the curse of the hundred days. After 100 days, colic is gone.”
—–> Darn if she wasn’t right about that!
It took about three months (or 100 days) and the colic was gone. I’ll tell you what, though. If I had known about the Baby Stay Asleep product back then, I’d have paid good money to get one. I swear those three months shaved a good two years from my lifespan.
The product itself is solid, sturdy, well made and comes with a carry bag – perfect for taking to grandma’s house or on vacation.
When my first son was born, he had numerous medical issues. Back then, I propped one end of his crib up with books. The Baby Stay Asleep is clearly more convenient, adjustable and mobile.
I highly recommend this product. FIVE thumbs up 😉 (That’s not possible but you get my point)
