Tip One:
Be thoughtful of others. Even if they don’t share the philosophy, it’s okay. The only heart you are responsible for is your own.
Tip Two:
Be careful when working trades with others. Have things in writing. If they still claim not to understand, walk away. Move on.
Tip Three:
DO NOT worry about those who un-follow you on twitter. Care about the HERE and NOW. Those are the ones that matter.
Tip Four:
If you want friends, be a friend. If you want business, give business. Those who are giving always have a better return.
Tip Five:
Networking is a 2-way street. If you are trying to network with someone who just TAKES, let them go. Find others who “get it.”
Tip Six:
Do you want to be paid for your products & services? Then be willing to pay others for theirs. Anything less is unfair and selfish.
Tip Seven:
Want comments left on your blogs & fan pages? Then leave comments for others. “Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you.”
Tip Eight:
Paying for ads/PR with a company that never updates you or writes? Find a company that does! They are out there. Just look & ask.
Tip Nine:
Don’t just ask others to help you. Offer to help them. Life works better with give & take. You’ll lose friends if you are a TAKER.
Tip Ten:
Be fair, ethical & trustworthy. These biz practices will carry over into everything you do and others will be more likely to patron you.
*Tip Eleven (submitted by Loiuse of Signing Famlies):
Be the kind of business person that allows you to sleep at night vs. wondering if something will eventually “catch up ” with you because it was illegal, unethical or just plain wrong.
